Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park may be one of Chicago's wealthiest neighborhoods, but it also has a rich history. This lakeside area is home not only to many museums and cultural institutions like The Art Institute or Lyric Opera House; you can find all sorts of delicious restaurants where locals eat their lunch on patio tables outside too! A lot goes down here every day. Whether you're looking for an active lifestyle or prefer more quiet streets lined by lush trees, this part of town has it all.
The vintage apartments and lively bar scene in Lincoln Park attracted thousands of young singles during the 70s, but as property values rose, they were pushed out to neighboring areas like Lakeview or Wicker Park. The old greystones were converted into upscale condos that some say are being torn down for newer high-end single-family homes; we'll see what happens next. Though the area around DePaul University is still popular among younger crowds, for the most part, older couples and wealthy singles have replaced them. The neighborhood has become somewhat more sedate, emphasizing family-centered living habits.

Transportation:

Several CTA bus lines serve the area well, and the Red Line elevated trains move Lincoln Parkers throughout downtown Chicago. Lake Shore Drive borders this neighborhood to its east, while I-94 forms a barrier on either side that can make travel slow at any time of day - especially if you're looking for parking! Permits are required, but deposits aren't refunded, so keep your eye out when going through these stations or use alternative methods like ride-sharing services instead were available because there isn't enough space here anymore.

Theaters, concert halls, and music venues are all over the North Side. Some of Chicago's best-loved spots for entertainment include Lincoln Hall (acoustic), newly opened Three Penny Theater Park West, where you can find nationally famous acts from every genre or your favorite local band.

Lincoln Park High School is a top-rated, public elementary school that includes highly rated magnet programs and neighborhood buildings. There are two prestigious private schools in or near Lincoln Park; Francis W Parker for grades K -12(the Latin School of Chicago), which serves the city's elite population with a highly rigorous curriculum tailored to their needs--both offer college prep classes as well.
